Description:

Entebbe International Airport is the principal airport of Uganda, located near the town of Entebbe, on the shores of Lake Victoria. Entebbe International Airport got uplift as a result of Uganda hosting the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting in November 2007.

 

Most major European cities have regular flights from Uganda as well as the usual holiday islands. The new flights to Qatar have proved very popular.

 

Airline operators from Entebbe Airport include Egyptair, Brussels Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Emirates, Kenya Airways, South African Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, Rwandair Express, Delta Airlines & Turkish Airlines. However the biggest airline is British Airways with 16% of the airport destinations.

 

 Air Uganda, Eagle Air, ASANTE Aviation, Fly540, and Compagnie Africane d'Aviation operate regional flights to neigbouring cities like; Nairobi, Rwanda, Juba, Bujumbura, Kinshasha, Goma.

 

Car parking, both short and long term is available at the airport as well as at numerous independent operators at generally cheaper costs nearby.

Parking

Car Parks Ltd (Concessionaire) manages the Airport parking space. On entry into the airport one picks a ticket from the entrance. With this ticket, one pays Ush2,000 for the 1st hour of packing and an extra Ush500 for every extra hour and this is for the personal vechiles. For the per passenger vehicle and Lorries, the 1st hour goes for Ush2,500.  There are two types of parking available.
