Posta Uganda, the oldest bus operators and Uganda’s Postal service providers have launched another batch of ten brand NEW buses. In an event held at the General Post Office headquarters on Kampala road on Monday 04 March 2011, the post office management promised to continue with the tradition of safety, comfortable, affordable & reliable services to its customers. This comes at a time when the first batch of Post buses had grown old and they needed immediate replacement.
During the unveiling, the ten Isuzu brand buses, where packed along the roads that lead to the event lobby or the post office entrance.
Routes: According to Posta Uganda management, the new buses will run from the General Post Office in Kampala at 08:00am, from Monday to Saturday. They will connect via various towns of Uganda depending on the destination. Post buses will operate the following routes below;
- Kampala to Gulu route
- Kampala to Kabale via Masaka and Mbarara Route
- Kampala to Kasese via Fort Portal Route
- Kampala to Hoima vuia Masindi Route
- Kampala to Lira via Tororo, Mbale and Soroti Town
