The death of a freelance producer for CBS show ‘The Amazing Race” has been  attributed to cocaine overdose, Uganda Police investigations have revealed.

The first report published in some media indicated  that Jeff Rice and his production assistant Catherine Fuller were attacked and poisoned. The story added that "Jeff Rice one of those attacked  died as a result of the attack” . His partner was found  unconscious and rushed to a local hospital.

Latest reports say that Jeff who died in a Kampala hotel room died due of a suspected cocaine overdose.

According to sources, his body was found in the hotel room while Catherine Fuller, was found unconscious in the same room. Ms Fuller's health is improving and local police are yet to record a statement from her.

Uganda police refuted allegations that the Jeff died of food poisoning or an attack from suspected thugs.

Amazing Race is a reality television game show where a team of two competes with othesr to arrive first at destination. It is also aired on local television - NTV Uganda on weekends.
